getElementById/Name object doesn't support this property or method

25
I have executed a php script via an xmlhttprequest and can see the results in an alert. But when I try to access the elements using getElementById or Name I get "object doesn't support this property or method". Does anyone have a solution for this?

Please give some more details to what are doing in your request function and which element you are referring by id or name?
