I am very new to javascript,
what methods javascript has to read an .html page.
for example i want to get all the source code "www.somedomain.com/index.html" and put it in a document and then maipulate that document.

sorry, but i have one more q :)
how do i: after manipulating that document say write the result of my manipulation on the fly or all at once to a new window.

i searched google for more than a couple of hours, i couldn't figure it out?
thanks

Welcome to TSDN.

You could look at DOM methods. See link. This lets you manipulate whatever is on the page.

Use window.open and keep a ref. to the new window and write to it using document.write. See link.

Remember, the page you are writing needs to be on the same server/domain as the page you are reading- "www.somedomain.com/index.html".
