Double events firing

I have a problem with some code that fires an onclick event for an image. What I did was create a group of images to work like a button. The mouseover, mousedown, and mouseout events swap images to give a nice feel to the button, but when the onclick event is fired, which was created as follows:

string s = Page.ClientScript.GetCallbackEventReference(this,
"ChangeClockSetting(this)",
"ResfreshClockSetting", "null", true);

I get the these event to fire as listed. The problem is that a second event fires right after this one starts that really has nothing to do with this. I have checked my code and the second event only fires once and is only fired in with another event that is not firing in this sequence.

Now the questions: Is there a way to look at the client side event stack to see what is currently on the stack? Secondly, can additional events be cleared once you start a callback? and finally, Is there a problem using image tags for on click events?

Thanks,
Leo

Sorry I didn't get back sooner (I was out yesterday). This was the problem. The event was bubbling up to the table that the image was inside. Thanks, this resolved a major headache.
