Wondering how AJAX is working across browser platforms

Hello All,

I am considering getting in to using AJAX and have read the introductory stuff about it. I'm wondering how well it works in the real world with the different browsers and different revs of browsers. Are there any drawbacks that have been enountered?

Thanks,

Scott

To support Microsoft IE, you will need to use ActiveX as you will have seen in the introductory tutorials. You can use frameworks/libraries that sort out the cross-browser issues for you.

As for the drawbacks, see this thread.
