checkboxes in select box

Hi all ,

im trying to dynamically add checkboxes to a selectList This is the code im trying to use but not working

//coutrylist id the name of the select box
var countries = document.getElementById('countryList');

var chk = document.createElement("INPUT");
chk.setAttribute("type","checkbox");
chk.setAttribute("name","myCheck");
form.countryList.options[i].appendChild(chk);

You can't have checkboxes in a select box - you have options instead. However, you can simulate it using a list, e.g. like this.
