how to retrieve image src in javascript

hi all,

when i click on an image, its source should get stored somewhere and when i click the mouse somewhere else, the image i selected should get displayed. the images are in the local disk.


how can i achieve this? can anybody give a soln ??

What code do you have so far?

To get the source of the image, on the onclick event handler you could try, e.g.:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. <img src=".." onclick="imgsrc=this.src;">
where imgsrc is global variable.

You must also add an onclick event listener on the body. Detect the mouse co-ordinates and display the image at the position.
