Remote Computer with net 2.0 but no ajax extension installed

I am using visual web developer express for creating asp.net website...
and i would like to use ajax in my webpages.. i already installed MS Ajax extension
and i need to publish my pages on the remote server with .net 2.0 framework..
do my ajax-ed webpages will work?
im not sure if the website has or must have an ajax installed...

please advice.

To use Ajax, you don't need an extension or a framework/library.

However, you may find it easier to use that instead of coding it yourself.

but what i was asking... do the remote server must have a asp.net ajax extension installed?

No. Ajax is a combination of javascript with XML. You don't need any NET stuff or Windows stuff at all.

ill explain the situation... cause i was getting some problems when i try to use ajax 1.0 for asp.net. ..

when i installed an iis 6 and .net 2.0

i also installed ajax 1.0 on the local computer

when i use the ajax on my local iis it works fine..

but when i upload my file on the remote web server running .IIS 6 and .net 2.0

i have problem stating that there was a problem it says "reponse was change since..." .. i dunno what goes wrong..

Well, in that case, you'll have to install the extension on the server too.
