open html table in new window

Hi all,

How could i open a new window whose content is a html table or a div from the current document ?

The actual prob is that i try to generate an excel table from the html table. Tried with document.write and window.open methods.. in vain !!

- the window.open method accepts only url as argument, but not the
div_id.innerHTML

- document.write method uses the same window for the output. That too
donno if it can take innerHTML..

Open the window and keep a reference to it:

var newWin = window.open(...);

then write to it:

newWin.document.write(...);
