problem with Trim function

Hi,
I want to know if the syntax of trim function that i have written is correct or not?
if(width!=null && width!="" && width!=trim(imgWidth))
{
alert('hello');
}

my code is not proceeding further after encountering trim function?

Where's your trim function? trim is not a built-in function. You have to write it yourself or "borrow" it.
