lost menu with Vista & IE7

I've a new computer running Vista Home Premium and IE7. I've been using FrontPage2003 and Xara's Webstyle 4.0 for several years to maintain my website. I now have a problem creating menus using Webstyle (with Java). The menu looks great in the Design window but simply doesn't exist in the Preview window, which uses IE7. All items are in the correct folder. One suggestion was that I needed to turn down the security in IE7 - did that - didn't help. I do receive script errors when trying to view the page in the Preview window. I tried uploading the site to see if the menus were there when online but they aren't there either.

I have tried deleting the entire java code and starting fresh but that had no effect. I searched the Xara website for help, tried various solutions but apparently none fit my problem.

Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution for someone who can run applications and knows only the very basics of html can understand? In the meantime, my site has typed hyperlinks. Do appreciate any help!

Sometimes we find a solution just after asking a question. I found an alternative browser that would show the menu but there are no hyperlinks in it. It is as static as the words on the page. Other test links on the page are active.

My question now is how to get the menu hyperlinks to work. Thanks.

I think the question is more appropriate in the Javascript forum and so have moved it there.

Post your code so that we can see the problem.
