the latest version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer is version 7...

why old code no longer works is so that internet technologies can evolve (i suppose). IE is the most rogue browser of them all... code that works in other browsers sometimes just doesn't work for Internet Explorer. IE7 looks great and may be more secure than previous version, but generally Microsoft is a big bully...

if you do a google search for "why doesn't this work in internet explorer" i'm sure your search request will display hundreds and hundreds of sites addressing code issues and Flash issues.

i think it would be a nice idea to start another section of thescript.com that catalogues necessary changes for codes per browser versions... or something like that... just an idea.

Do you mean the tabular data control? It is still in IE, but the permissions to run ActiveX controls have tightened up. You have to burrow into the tools menu and allow active x, and even then you'll get prompts.
