Interacting with Javascript

I am trying to fin a way to interact with an existing web page containing Javascript from another window application. What I need to achieve is to send keystrokes to edit different edit fields, and to be able to press buttons, etc.

In windows I can find out the handles of various components to achieve the above.

Is this possible in a web environment ?

Regards

Bob

Yes, you should be able to achieve that, e.g. to simulate a mouse click on a button, you can call the click() method on an input button. You can set the text of a text input using, e.g.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. document.getElementById('textid').value='your string val';
See, for example, the following links:
http://www.w3schools.com/htmldom/dom_obj_button.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/htmldom/dom_obj_text.asp

There is also an HTML DOM reference here.
