dynamically embed input elements into html using javascript

Hi
I have the following form in my html page:

<form name="mapserv" method=GET action="[program]">
<input type="hidden" name="timeFiltering">
<input type="hidden" name="filteringType">
<input type="hidden" name="filteringBox">

<input type="hidden" name="Geofence" value="1|Geofence1|-88.19311|30.52311|-87.91011|30.65221|10|3">
<input type="hidden" name="Geofence1" value="1|Geofence1|-88.19311|30.52311|-87.91011|30.65221|10|2">
<input type="hidden" name="Geofence2" value="1|Geofence1|-88.19311|30.52311|-87.91011|30.65221|10|2">
------
</form>

I would like to dynamically embed another "Geofence" input tag from a java applet sitting in the same page. Can this be done using javascript? somthng like a document.wrtie() maybe that embeds the required input into this specific form??

Cheers

You may want to read up on the W3C DOM (Document Object Model). A few links that might help you:
http://www.quirksmode.org/dom/intro.html
http://www.pageresource.com/dhtml/ryan/part4-1.html
http://www.w3schools.com/dom/dom_intro.asp
http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/tutoria...omintroduction

You can use the non-standard innerHTML, but using the DOM is preferred.
