script too long?

Hello all,

I am working on a database type script and am having some trouble. It
uses alot of javascript and request objects, and for some reason it
keeps breaking for some odd reason. For example in one section I had 5
images that had rollover images, when added a 6th rollover image, all
the parts of the page that were altered in the DOM broke! Same thing
happened when I tried to add a function for one of the buttons. So I
guess my question is, Is my script just getting too long? Is there a
limit to the number of characters, or any sort of limits that you are
aware of that would do this? Any help would be appreciated, even if it
is just "no, your code probably just sucks", because at least I would
know I'm missing something. Thanks!
