Hi, I'm a newbie and new to this site as well, can someone help me with this...I am working on a web application ..when I click on logout, my session gets invalidated ,still on hitting back I am coming to the previous page when in turn I want to come to the Index page , Thanks in advance..

The back button is always a problem in web apps. The best thing is to tell users that in order to be totally logged out they will need to close the browser.

Thnx fr replying, yeah..the prob still persists, bt as a temp soln i disabled the back-button using javasript .

That's an option, but not always the best. Users tend to get confused when back doesn't work.
