Hi guys

1
I'm new to web programming, so if this sounds stupid, please bear with me -

I've constructed a site of six pages, each with a table holding a selection of images.

When the user clicks an image I need to record and add the image number to an array or list somewhere. My problems are . .

1/ I need to figure out how to detect which <td> is under the onmouseclick event so I can get the image number

2/ I need to remember image numbers from several pages. (I understand that javascript vars are limited in scope to a single page)

I suspected that vars in a .js file may be more "global", so tried declaring and recording to an array within one, but so far with no success. Perhaps because I'm not doing it properly.

Anyway . . any help here would be appreciated. All I can offer in return is some
expertise in Turbo pascal / Delphi, if that's any good.
