html inside javascript

hi,

how do i embedd html tag inside javascript alert message.

for example

alert("hi, have a "+<B"great day!"</B>);
i want the output as:

hi, have a great day!

with 'great day!' in bold.

You don't.

for example

alert("hi, have a "+<B"great day!"</B>);

with 'great day!' in bold.

You can't in a regular alert dialog. If you want to style it, you will
have to write your own in window alert box.

The "alert" method receives just raw text. If you want to do such
things, you'll have to make something like this:
<URL:http://jsfromhell.com/samples/lightbox/(click on the buttons).
