remaining width

Hi,
I have three spans in a div:

<div onclick="toggleStep(this);" id="step1" class="stepHeader">

<span class="triangle" id="step1Arrow">6</span>
<span class="stepTitle">Step 1: Getting Code</span>
<span class="statusSymbol">a</span>

</div>

top-div-width is 600px, first span 30px, second span content-dependent
The third span should fill the rest of the top div

Is there a possibility to get this ?

thanks
Wolfgang
