Posting to function

Is it possible to call a remote javascript function by posting to a page or by some other means?

The reason I would like to do this is to follow a link that is generated by a function on a news site.

Thankful for any help or even some arguments why this can't be done.

Not normally unless it's set up in such a manner which I doubt.

Cross-domain access is not allowed either.

If the function is defined in an external script and is not dependent on other functions, then you may be able to include the script and call the function.
