Javascript security setting

In IE , there is a setting in
EXTRAS->OPTIONS->SECURITY->INTERNET->CUSTOM SETTINGS->SCRIPTING->
ALLOW ACCESS ACROSS DOMAIN BOUNDARIES
Does this really affect the Sandbox, respectively "same origin policie" of
IE?

I allowed access across domain boundaries, but it did't help me at all.
What i wanted was to access the innerhtml of a frame showing a foreign
domain.
Greetings

It's Miscellaneous Access data sources across domains for me (IE
6.0.2800) What version are you using?

Also try to add the domain you are working with to "Trusted sites" list
(Tools Internet Options Security)

I think there is a such setting for data sources meaning XMLHTTP can
load across domains if you enable that setting (respectively the browser
user allows it on request).

You are right, it is under "Miscellaneous" not scripting.
