How to create pop-up window "You've got mail"

P: 8
I was wondering if anybody knows how to get a script to do the following: when the user receives a new email into their inbox I want a small window to pop-up from the bottom right corner of the screen telling them that they have a new email, "You've got mail."

Any help is greatly appreciated,

For example: a person is working on the computer at their office and a little pop up window comes up with a message "You've got mail" and the person now knows that they need to check their inbox (whoever sent the email might want to schedule an appointment at that office). So instead of checking the email every 10 minutes I want this little box to come up and alert the user to check their email. I don't know if their email needs to be open or not for this to work.

if your saying something like them checking their outlook there is an option in outlook to check for new mail ever x minutes

javascript means you would need to have a browser open the whole time, you might be better off getting a program that already does this function, pop3 mail alerrt try that search on google.... you could also make this kind of program fairly easily in visual basic or something similar to it. not saying it would be too easy you would have to learn the pop mail protocol (not too hard) and learn to use winsock.
