Is there a code to remove pop-up adds from a website? like tripod.com for instance, w/o paying for it.

If the terms state that you must display the ads, then it wouldn't be a good idea to try to violate those conditions.

Individually, each user can block ads using extensions such as AdBlock (Firefox) or GreaseMonkey (set the style.display property of the element containing the ad to "none").
