Is there a way to test if a css style attribute is implemented for a
specific browser?

eg: I want to test the browser to see if it handles the opaque
attribute correctly and perform actions dependant on the result

Anything based on JavaScript would likely be a very poor solution.

There are various CSS-based tricks to deal with such things (essentially
the equivalent of JavaScript feature testing), ask in:
