For Mozilla/Firefox that usually means a DOM method is implemented in
C++/XPCOM and exposed to script with XPConnect.
In general if a script engine says something is native code then that
means implemented in e.g. C/C++ (with a script engine implemented in
C/C++) or e.g. Java (with a script engine implemented in Java).
