single quote from IE and Firefox

Hi,

I got this basic function not working properly when using differnet
browsers (IE6 and Firefox1.501). The problem is the single got striped
off from IE6,while FireFox preserved the single quote, so that caused
error problem when sending sql query to database.

The single quote is coming from a javascript function.
How can I deal with this issue?

It is when I passing parameters in url.
eg.
in Firefox:
url+"?name='"+robin+"'"

in IE, I can't give a quote:
url+"name="+robin

What more was acord supposed to quote? They quoted the entire post as it
was only 3 lines long. Which in this context is appropriate. If anyone
didn't quote properly, it was VK, not acord.
