Multiple textfields focus

P: n/a
hi all,

I am implementing a virtual online keyboard based on javascript and
html.

now i have a username and a password field which needs to be populated
using the virtual keyboard. my problem is that i have hard coded the
textfield where data should be inserted. however i want, whereever the
focus is, thats where the data should be inserted. so far i have got,
document.forms[0].elements['usernameField'].value+=x;

Can some genius help me to make this generic, as to wherever the focus
is insert data there.

thanks a lot.
