removeChild from Child Window

P: n/a
I am trying to remove a row in a parent window from a child window.
Is this possible?

var row_delete = self.opener.document.getElementById("Action_Row_4" );
var rows = self.opener.document.getElementById("Action_Table" );
rows.removeChild(row_delete);

It errors on this line:
rows.removeChild(row_delete);
The error message is "Invalid Argument".
