creating xml file in javascript

P: n/a
Does anyone know how to create an xml element from scratch? I'd like to
create a document root, then add child nodes, all in javascript.

I need a way that will work in both IE 6 and Firefox -- feature
sniffing okay, browser detect isn't.

Thanks,

Cathy

There is plenty of information on this on the internet if you search
for it.

See: www.w3schools.com for instance: look under XML Parser and XML
DOM

Also look up the Sarissa code library for cross-browser code.

Thanks Martin. That looks like exactly what I needed.

(BTW hope you don't think I'm another lazy searcher -- I did search
the faqs before posting but didn't find the link above)
