alert syntax

How does one center text in an alert box? and how do you make the alert box
appear in the middle of the screen? I've seen it done, but my alerts have
text left justified, and the box is longer than i need. any help is
appreciated. also is there a way to bold text in an alert?

alert box is a functionnality of browser
it doesn't have exactly same appearance in Opera, IE or FF

no, you can't style the inside text of an alert box

about position :
open an alert
then try to move it where you want it and close it
then
re-open this alert to see if it is displayed in this new place
