millions

Hi Sarah

Just watched Million Dollar Baby.

The first two thirds is your typical feel good under dog manages to come
out on top due to the depth, breadth and purity of her heart.

The next quarter is 'wow' you can see right into these two people. I was
there with my mouth dropped open not believing what I was viewing.

I found the final bit anti climatic (maybe that's a bit too strong -
perhaps 'predictable' is a better word) after the power of the bit
before. Even so it has a moment that's magnificent even though it's made
to look like a throwaway line.

A lovely film.

ap

PS I laughed again at the scene I saw in the preview ages ago where the
trainer asks "what's the first rule" and she answers "protect yourself
at all times".

A fellow once posted to a newsgroup what he was supposed to be mailing to
his bank account manager. The message was something like "How about we
increase the instalments of our mortgage, otherwise we'll spend the rest of
our lives paying it back... Have a nice weekend!" That was somewhat
hilarious at the time... :)

Not all news servers honour cancels, though, because they're very easily
forged.

unfortunately, not every news service provider allows cancels.
I use SuperNews, and AFAIK I can't cancel a message. I have tried before.
