Inserting Data Into a TExtArea

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to insert data into a form (in an open
window of course) that is not a parent or child window of another window.
How do i reference the name of the form and the name of the text area from
this other window to insert the text.

Cheers

Will

You can't use JavaScript to do it.

You can't. Otherwise your page may be able access and read or change
data in any other browser window. Think of the potential security
issues if you could.

On Windows MSIE is automatable with script much like other applications
like Word or Excel are so script can create and open IE browser windows,
load URLs and then has access to the object model of the document
loaded. It is not script run in the browser that can do that but a
Windows Script Host script. The script language can be JScript so you do
not need to learn a new language but of course you need to learn how to
automate an application, you need to learn the API that IE exposes to
load a URL and so on.
The Windows Script Host documentation is here:
<http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/script56/html/wsoriWindowsScriptHost.asp>

IE's API exposed is here:
<http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/browser/webbrowser/reference/objects/internetexplorer.asp>
