saving to file not possible?

Hello,

Am I correct in thinking that Javascript cannot be used to save data
to a file?

I would like to have a user position the marker on a slider and then
have that value saved to a file.

Thanks

Geoff

Not clientside with the normal security settings.

However, you could use a cookie which is a client-side text file (of sorts).
