removing cookies once you sign out or close explorer

I would like to remove cookies once I sign out of a website or close
explorer is there such an option to do this?

Um, if you are asking from the perspective of how to use your browser,
sure check the Preferences for how long cookies stick around. Most
modern browsers have a way of your specifying exactly what you are
asking about: destroying cookies at the end of your session.

If you are asking from a programming perspective, set the date
accordingly.
