Getting values from my server

P: n/a
I would like to use Javascript to pull a value from my server (via an HTTP
call) and then that value on my webpage.

Is this possible?

I have minimal Javascript knowledge, so can write functions, embed them
within my HTML, etc.

But my actual knowledge of available functions availble is severly limited.

thanks ahead,

Daniel

Yes. Not 100% cross-browser, but then again, what is? ;)
