question about window.close()

Hi, all

When using window.close(), is that possible to close it straightaway without
a "confirm prompt" to user?

Only if you opened the window with script[1]. If the window is not
opened with script, it's a security violation to close it (thats why the
dialog is there).

[1] I won't go any further :)

Place your hand on the FAQ and repeat after me.
"I swear to tell the truth, the whole
truth, and the ultimate tru.."

Bursting into court..
"Your honour, we have a supreme court suppression
order on the illegal search and browser seizure of the
OS component in question, upon which we make application
for the exclusion of the testimony of *this* witness!" ;-)

<shaking head in laughter>

One thing thats been missing from this group for a long time has been a
little laughter. Thanks for giving that to me :)

P.S. Instead of the ultimate truth, the Unconditional Truth will lead
you to where you want to go :)

D'Oh! I actually checked the other string and
stumbled across a post that seemed to fit. But
I was sure should be more ..locations for it.

Oh well. Never let the (unconditional or any other)
truth get in the way of a good story. ;)

Of course, if you were to hear the ultimate truth, the
orator must be ... God?
