best way to debug javascript

What is the best way to debug javascripts? Do it in Visual Interdev?
Or just look at if any errors come from browsers.

Like al other script languages:

Be logical.
Be coherent.
Be modular.
Imagine all possible inputs.
Test with breakpoints [alert()].
Test in relevant environments [browsers].

..... learn.

Run Mozilla and IE in parallel. Get things working first in Mozilla (with a
decent debugger if you need it), then fix any IE incompatabilities.

Get hold of an xunit harness for Javascript and use test driven
development.
