alter keypress event

Hi all,

I've got a function that captures a keypress event. This is working fine,
but in some cases I want to fire the same even again but with different
parameters.

Example;

----------------8<------------------------------------------
function editor_event(objname,runDelay) {
var editor_obj = document.all["_" +objname+ "_editor"];
var editEvent = editor_obj.contentWindow ? editor_obj.contentWindow.event
: event;

var ord = editEvent.keyCode; // ascii order of key pressed
var ctrlKey = editEvent.ctrlKey;
var altKey = editEvent.altKey;
var shiftKey = editEvent.shiftKey;

//more code here...
}
---------------->8------------------------------------------

If I press a key in a textarea it fires this function. What I want is if the
var 'shiftKey' is true fire the event again but with the 'shiftKey' property
'false'

I think I've got to look at obj.handleEvent(e); but I'm not sure about what
to do :)

Does really nobody have a clue about this? :(

Do you have no name and valid sender address?

Whatever you do will be insignificant,
but it is very important that you do it.
