how to copy all style attributes from one to another object

How can I copy all style sheet information from one object to another?
I tried the following way but it did not work:

object2.style = object1.style;

do have to assign all stylesheet information by

object2.style.color = object1.style.color;

?

Thanks for your responds

I have already answered that in your native language in
de.comp.lang.javascript. You probably want to refrain
from making multi-postings if you wish your postings to
be read by a significant number of netizen in the future.
