I have some old code that i'm revamping. In it i have code to put a
unique number in the querystring so the server knows whether its a page request
or a netscape (v 4 at the time) resize.
Now nobody uses Netscape anymore, right? So do i still need to cater for
this feature (bug?!). I can install and test all the browsers i can think
of but if anyone can say a definite answer it will be a great help.
Some people still use it. Anyway AFAIK the reloading of NS4 on resize is
triggered by a javascript that is inserted by editors because that browser
forgets about CSS when the window is resized; so the page is reloaded to get
the CSS again. You could just remove that script (usually called something
like Netscape Resize Fix). So you can choose what you prefer on resize:
reloading or loss of your design.
