how to show dynamic data generated from servlet in a new java script window

When i hit a button in the web page, the servlet will run and should
post some dynamic data into the new window (using Java Script), The
new generated window will contain the info generated from the Servlet.
Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly helpful to me,

As long as you're using servlets, why write the data to a new window
with javascript? You can write it out with the servlet easier. Just use
the HttpServletResponse writer.
