Ike
Is there a way I can save a string, locally, on the user's machine, offering
them the chance to save it to a filename? Thanks, Ike

looking for an easy way for users to browse for a file on their local drive, and then have access automatically make a copy of that file (files will most likely be images) and save it under a new name (somehow relating it to the PK of the main table) in a directory on the server where the DB is stored... i realize that might not be the best...

Hi, Any help with this would be really appreciated! I'm trying to download a file from a remote server. The access permissions is okay but the problem I'm facing is that the file is getting downloaded before the Save As dialogue appears. As we will be downloading some large files, it's unpractical to have this. So far the code I...

Hi all, Does anybody know how to save localization in an excel workbook (C# 1.1)? I'm not sure this is possible, but I'm trying to do this so that numberColumns keep their format no matter what local is set in the computer where the file is opened. Thanks in advance, Swayze

Hi, I'd like to be able to prompt the user to save text that a script has created to a file. The idea is that the script would create a text string, the "Save As" dialog would be triggered and then the user could choose to save the text that was created somewhere on their local filesystem. This has none of the security concerns of...

It would be nice if it was as easy as changing "somesite.com" to "file:///C:/whatever" and "post" to "save"... in the following form: <form action = "somesite.com" method="post"> <p<textarea...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
