IFRAME Busting Code

1 New Member
Hi,

I need help creating an IFrame busting code to allow a banner to expand out of an IFRAME.

This is the situation I created a Flash banner with dimmesions 728x90 that expands to 728x400 when the user clicks on a button.

Here is the problem, the banner will be displayed inside an IFRAME with dimmensions of 728x90 on other websites, so when users click on it the banner will expand inside the IFRAME but will not be visible because IFRAME won't expand.

I'm supposed to come up with some javascript code to help the banner bust out of the IFRAME so the banner will be visible when it expands.

I was told some companies already do this, but I have limited knowledge on javascript, I work with Flash and PHP most of the time.

Any help will be much apreciated.

I did a little searching for javascript code that will make a page "jump out" of frames when the page is loaded. There seems to be many, many ways to do this and I've added the ones I found to the end of this post. Which one should I use? Is there a generally accepted "best" way to do this that works will all browsers? .... Krick

FF1.0.2+ doesn't seem to have the problem. I'm doing: this.iframe = document.createElement( 'iframe' ); this.iframe.id = this.id + 'wh';...

I've been looking for references for some weeks now, but haven't found an answer to the following question. I'd love some help on this: *Without* using JavaScript or other active client-side scripting, server-side includes or frames, is there a way to include a standard header on all pages within a site? The design goal is to have the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
