Change the value of an asp control by javascript

How can I change the value of an asp control by javascript,

could you please tell me your perofessional opinion about this.

You can't really change server side code with JavaScript unless there's some server side code involved which actually makes the change.

You may be talking about a text box here in which case you just need to set the value property of the control, e.g. control.value=' some val'.
