It does work (I have it installed on my FF 1.5). It just seems (and
noticed by others) that Mozilla Foundation and Venkman Projects are not
friends anymore. I don't know what did they do to each other :-) but
Mozilla intentionally keeps outdated info on the Extention page.

Go instead to <http://www.mozilla.org/projects/venkman/> and find the
link to FF 1.5 version.

It will bring you to <http://getahead.ltd.uk/ajax/venkman>, read,
download and be happy :-)

If that was so, this link was not there:

Hi, I would like to know if there exists a tool that one can use to test some javascript code before actually running it ? Something that would check the syntax at least ? I found that most mistakes that I make when coding in javascript are syntax-related. Here's a typical scenario: I use a function like getElementByID. Notice the big D...In Internet Explorer I get the classic "object doesn't support this property or method" message,...

Use the MS Script Editor included free with MS Office 2002 and above, for debugging Internet Explorer (IE). This subject is of great interest to many JS developers, as there is no obvious, low cost way to do sophisticated debugging in IE6 other than to use the debugger described below, which is horribly documented otherwise. I feel debugging is an important aspect of projecting the useability of the language and needs to be made more...

I'm debugging some JavaScript. In Firefox I can use dump(msg) to print a message on their JS console (see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Viewing_dump()_output). Likewise, Opera has the opera.postError(msg) method. Is there an equivalent in Internet Explorer that will work with Visual Studio 2003 when using the JS debugger? I know how to set breakpoints, display variables, etc.

Was hoping somebody might have experienced this before. I have client-side javascript in my aspx files. For some reason when I place the "debugger;" keyword in my javascript, Visual Studio no longer breaks into the code. It used to, and I can't figure out what could have changed to disable the feature. 1. My javascript code is definitely being called. 2. The "Disable Script Debugging" checkbox is cleared in my internet settings (I've...

How can a script send (non-fatal) warnings and other such messages to Firefox's JavaScript console? Thanks! kj -- NOTE: In my address everything before the first period is backwards; and the last period, and everything after it, should be discarded.

Hi I've come here after googling for this a day or two and not being able to spot what I'm looking for. I need a JavaScript IDE -- no frills, nothing special -- that offers me the ability to - directly call my functions - step through them

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
