ActiveX warning and a script error. I tend not to trust sites that can't
even write simple scripts for there own pages.

The link gave 5 warnings and 12 errors. Even better, turn of scripting
and you get a completely blank page - it's not even close to valid HTML.

I didn't bother to download the zip file.

It don' t give any script error to me, maybe is because I' ve installed the
170 KB ActiveX signed Microsoft called "IEPopUpMen u".

Yes, it told me it wanted to install the AciveX IEPopUpMenu. If I have
to allow an un-explained ActiveX in order to view a webpage, then the
webpage is junk before I ever start reading.

Using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 to build a C++ MFC exe I am using the resource editor to create a dialog with a Tab Control. Setting the "Bottom" property (of the Tab Control) to True seems to erroneously set the "Buttons" property to true instead. This property worked fine in Visual C++ 6.0. Does anyone know of a work-around to get the tabs on the bottom Thank M.D. Metz

So I have been working on an opensource project for a while, and decided to really try to make it look better after focusing on the functionality most of this time. Up to now, I have simply used a standard ASPX page with minor modifications to it. All of my pages inherit from a "BasePage.cs" class, that handles common things like getting the user's information out of the session, determines if a page should or should not be password...

I'm cross posting from mscom.webservices.general as I have received no answer there: There has been a number of recent posts requesting how to satisfactorily enable BASIC authorization at the HTTP level but as yet no fully useful answer. I too have been trying to call an apache/axis webservice which desires a username/password from my C# Client. (ie the equivalent of _call.setUsername("Myname") name from within a Java client proxy)...

I have a timer set to enable on a button click action. All of that works fine, it displays on Label3 on Form1. Here is the thing though. Interval = 3000, which should be roughly 30 minutes (if my calculations are correct.) The counter seems to be counting in seconds, which is fine, but for every tick of the counter, 2-3 seconds pass on the system clock. Is there any way to make the timer tick ACTUAL seconds? Or minutes better yet? Code as...

I think the current version of _vsnwprintf_s is broken, in ordinary Windows. I'm not completely sure yet but it looks like this breakage is worse than previously known Windows CE breakage of StringCchPrintf. For Windows CE breakage of StringCchPrintf, since the %S format died instead of converting ANSI to Unicode, a workaround was to call MultiByteToWideChar and then use the %s format. For ordinary Windows breakage of _vsnwprintf_s,...

Hi. I seem to have made some progress on finding that bug in my program. I deactivated everything in the bignum package that was used except for the returning of BigFloat objects. I even crippled all the constructors. So now all the operations and constructors that were used do is just return BigFloats but no memory is actually accessed at any point, nor is any allocated. However, when I reenable those parts of the constructor that...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
