The code is only a function, where/how do you call it?

Is there an
<iframe id="frSubTab" ...></iframe>
in the page when the function is being called?

Do you get any error messages in the JavaScript console?

In general if you want to change the document in an iframe use
<iframe name="iframeNam e" ...></iframe>
and then
if (window.frames. iframeName) {
window.frames.i frameName.locat ion.href = 'newpage.html';
}
that works in a lot of more browsers than manipulating the src property
of the <iframe> element.

I find it rather frustrating that Netscape 4.x is "no longer supported:" http://help.netscape.com/products/client/communicator/reflib.html Same seems true with IE. How am I ever supposed to make my scripts multi-browser, when they don't bother giving me basic documentation?

Hi, I want to try and get a lottery type script to run in these two browsers before i put it on my site. It runs OK in I.E.6 and my friend says it works in netscape 7 so i can't see the problem with 6, they're both fairly modern - aren't they? I'm not looking for someone else to do the legwork, just point me in the right direction. It looks like it's down to some browser-feature

First, let me say I couldn't find a group discuss XML/XSLT. So I only choose the closest groups to post this message. Here is part of my *.xsl file <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:xalan="http://xml.apache.org/xalan" xmlns:my-javascript-ext="my-ext1" extension-element-prefixes="my-javascript-ext"

I thought I was fighting a PHP problem, so I asked about this on a PHP list, but they felt it was a Javascript problem, so I'm reposting a bit of the debate here. Could this Javascript, below, possibly trigger a redirect in Netscape, and send the browser to a file called "0". Cause what is happening is on load, in Netscape, the page redirects to something like: http://www.myDomain.com/0

Hi, I have a function that uses the following line: var level = document.getElementById( id); I also know the name of the element I am looking for. In Netscape Communicator 4.7, however, this doesn't work... What can I do to get the same element in this browser? Thanks!

I was testing out a page of mine that displays the information from Page.Request.Browser. It works exactly as I expected in Internet Explorer and Netscape 4.75 (I didn't expect much in Netscape 4.75, but I got some stuff). However, Netscape 7.1 gave me some strange stuff, including the following: 1. It gave the Version as 5.0 rather than 7.1, and the Type as Netscape5 2. ASP.NET did not send any CSS other than the constant part that I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
