Really Strange Problem with IFRAME location.href

I have a page with an IFRAME. When I tried to dynamically set the
location.href of the IFRAME to a URL address, the Internet Explorer
browser loads the page onto the IFRAME correctly but a very strange
thing usually happens, i.e. the progress bar shows that the page is
loading in progress.

e.g.

<iframe name="test" width="100" height="100"></iframe>
....
<script>
document.test.l ocation.href="a TestPage.aspx";
</script>

Any clues how to resolve the progress bar problem?

Thanks very much,
June.

Try assigning the "src" to your URL.

Hiall! I have a demo viewer page for javascript stuff that has three buttons "DEMO" "HTML" and "JSCR", and an IFRAME called 'viewer'. Initially, the IFRAME gets loaded with the actual demo page, ie., viewer.location = dName + '.html'; where dName is the filename of the demo without extension.

Greetings I have written an online survey with 110 questions. I use javascript to cycle thru all the questions which are displayed in an iframe. I keep track of the question number using a "global" variable. When testing it, everything works fine until I hit the back button. The iframe goes to the previous question, but of course, the counter is not decremented. Example if I am at question # 5 and I hit the back button, I go to #4,...

Hi, I am trying to pop-up a window when the user clicks on an image. The problem is that when the user clicks on the image and the window pops up OK, but the window underneath also proceeds to the image. The desired behavior is that when the pop-up is invoked, I want the underlying window to stay put. I don't have this problem when I run the code on my local computer but I do have it when I run the code on geocities.

I am developing an internalk inteface that integrates alot of seperate tools into one interface. The current version uses one Iframe inside a div layer for positioning. Currently the seperate web tools do not have the ability to stay active. As you switch from tool to tool the previous information is lost unless you use a Back button. I need to place multiple div layers with I frames in them that can be shown or hidden based on selection. The...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
