do you mean Java or JavaScript? (just in case, no, that’s not the same)

Either Java or javascript..Anything is fine..But I need to figure out whether its feasible to come up with such.
Would appreciate your co-operation.

I doubt it is possible in JavaScript. I guess chances are rather high for Java.

Sanjay,

What do you know about Bluetooth? Anything?

There are libraries available, so that's not the problem. Some libraries may have errors, or other bugs, but they're the simple part. You've got to do your research here.

First, you need to know what you are trying to accomplish (requirements).

Second, you need to know what your phone can send over the bluetooth link. Ask yourself a simple question - can I accomplish my requirements with the tools I have available. If the answer is no, you have to get sharper tools, or change the requirements.

Third, get a trivial conversation going between your PC and the phone.

Fourth, revisit question 2 - can you accomplish your requirements.

Luck!

Hi Sir/Madam,

Thanks for your reply :)

Actually I am looking for online video conferencing with my friends without webcam.
My requirement is I want to switch on my bluetooth of my phone and computer, get my phone camera ON. All I want to do is build an application which will read my phone camera and connect me to friends on common platform.

I did some research on this but didn't find any. So may I request to suggest.

Would appreciate your co-operation.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Sanjay,

The base protocol that you are looking for is called SIP. There are a few shareware projects out there that implement video conferencing and everything else using the protocol.

There are some common products that use SIP for communication, like Yahoo Messenger, and Skype.

All that said, there is a very nice SIP program that installs as part of Fedora. I didn't get to play with it much, but it worked, and was easily configurable.

The other half of your project may be a bit trickier - basically using your phone's camera over bluetooth. I haven't run into any device drivers that do that, yet; however I do know that the existing support software for the phones is getting to be much more competent all the time. So, check out your phone's provider's web site, and see what they have available. I know that I'm using an outdated phone (a ENV-2), and there is one very nice controll package for it, that accesses all the phone's features.

Hopefully that helps get you moving in the right direction.

Good Luck!
