Clearing or resetting the response before calling dispatcher.forward()

I'm using a servlet for authenticating before sending the user's request to a asp page that retrieves a license key.

Somehow the final response to the client is having some extra info.I'm wondering if I can reset/clear the response before calling dispatcher.forward().

Any help or sample code is highly appreciated.

Thanks
