I designed my GUI in netbeans, now i'm trying to figure out
why the app won't compile. I think i need to import a package:

package org.jdesktop.layout;

Do I need a .jar file for this ?
Please help.

Yes and you have to tell Netbeans about your intentions to use that .jar file in your project.

kind regards,

I googled a bit and it seems that the package (and the entire .jar file) is part of Netbeans itself. I don't use Netbeans but it should be capable to add it to your project. Google and read the tips.

kind regards,

Jos
